The God of all comfort
I love you, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock,
my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn of
my salvation, my stronghold.
I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.
Psalm 18:1-3 NIV
My comfort is in you O Lord
Where do I go for comfort
I run to the Lord and His arms open wide
He never leaves nor does he hide.
The Lord is my refuge
He keeps me standing strong
Even when I feel alone
His love is still there for me always.
Sometimes I feel that I'm standing on my own
But He says I'm not, and I'm never alone.
Sometimes I feel sad
The way the world is today
I feel like this world is not where I belong
I feel like a alien in a far off land
But Jesus says this world is not my home
He has a place prepared for me
And that's why I'm not alone
My home is in heaven
O how I long for that
I feel it in my soul, the way is in Him
Remember we are not alone.

I feel like a alien in a far off land
But Jesus says this world is not my home..."

Great hub, beautiful poetry filled with comforting words. Truly in the Lord we have our perfect hope and security. Remain blessed always. Best regards.
Your poem resonates with how I think many of us feel and so glad that we can find our comfort and acceptance in Him.
Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful poem, Betty. When I read the line about running to the Lord and how He opens His arms wide, I was instantly reminded of a dream I had once where I was running up a big hill, and at the top, under a tree, stood Jesus. As soon as I reached Him, He grabbed me and hugged me to Him as tightly as He could. It was probably the most beautiful dream I've ever had. Thanks for the memory. And thanks for visiting my blog. So happy to know you are out here.
May the Lord make His face to shine on you today! Sandra

Another beautiful poem. I usually save your writing to read first thing in the morning to get my day off right or last thing at night to relax and focus my mind before bed. Thanks for using and sharing your talent to glorify Him.
