What Do You Hunger For?

Revelation 7:16
Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat upon them,
nor any scorching heat.
What are you hungry for?
There is a hunger that was put inside us when we we're created. God gave us a desire to hunger, to thirst for Him. This is why before we new Christ we felt we had something missing in our lives, in our hearts and our souls. God says when we come to know Him our lives change, our out look on life changes. How do we know, we know Him? We change, we live a totally differant life, we just want what God has, what God is.
He won't let us go hungry, we read the Bible, we witness, we pray, we love. This is a practicing Christian. This is what we hunger for, and thirst for.
John 7:37
On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink
We can run to Jesus when we hunger and when we thirst. Nothing else can fill that void. Before I became saved, if I even saw a Bible in my house I would put it away, I would put it where no one could see it. I had no hunger for Him or His Word. But now, oh now, I hunger and thirst for Him and His Word, so when I get spiritually hungry and thirsty I run to Jesus, for His yoke is easy.

Hi Betty... this is so true and a very much needed message for today.. though very often we run in completely the wrong direction to find our needs met when we are hungry.. and God sees us running around aimlessly.. or heading to the wrong focal point for our needs instead of to Him.. thank you for this wonderful message Betty...hugs, Alf

What I hunger the most is the injustice of this world. The terrible language and trash found in our TV and movies. I wish people would just stick to a good story line without the nudity, language and violence.

I can now see the ones who refused to follow Jesus and had the chance to dine at His table but to busy doing this and that and didn't beleive...now they will be standing on the other side of judgement, but they will kneel and confess that Jesus is Lord but no redemption for them then..they set there fate and made there choice..great post Sister Betty and good food for thought !!!

Greet you in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
We are praying for you and your job .
Because of the Grace of our Lord and your immense love, we are all ok here. The power of God is doing miracles among the people and delivering them from, the bondages of Satan and gathering the Church. When I do the ministry strongly, the Devil is giving me more troubles to me and to my family. But our Lord is great and he is capable of delivering me from all evil deeds of Satan Glory to God.
Now the winter season in India. We are sleeping only on bare floor. the floor in almost wet due to rain .the children found differed to sleep in cold and mosquitoes so Now need sweater & placate mat and mosquito net. Requested for our orphanage children. We all are praying for you.
