Whispers In My Heart
61
Desire To Be Like You
Darkness will follow as we go through times of pain
Shelter is what I desire when the rain pours with no gain
I listen for whispers inside my heart
whispers from you can set my feet on solid ground
your whispers inside my heart keep me from falling down.
There are times in my life when I can't hold on
there are dreams that keep me going
but whispers from you are what I long for
whispers of love, whispers of joy, more of peace
that gives me this great release from darkness so deep
that only your touch can control.
There is nothing that can keep me from reaching out for truth
whispers inside my heart from you lead me on while storms try to take me
your love unfolds deep within.
Even when the pain is real, I stand for your ways and your truth
no matter how I feel.
So whisper Lord Jesus inside my heart,
help me keep the joy inside, help me know I'm still alive.

As the deer pants for the water, so does my soul for you Heavenly Father. Despite I wonder away sometimes, my heart reaches for the things Yours delights in.
"Be still, and know that I am God." We have to be still to hear the whispers.

The the Lord said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountain apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah" 1 Kings 19:11-13
It's the whispers I long to hear as well. Life is never easy, but Oh the whispers that call us out - those that come from the Lord Jesus are so wonderful. thanks for the read. be blessed
