Windy Days

Windy Days
So cool as they blow
Scrambling leaves blowing away.
Windy Days
full of action
trapping critters in their holes.
Wanting to slow down
Windy days takes a break
all the leaves in one place.
Critters run from their holes
enjoying the leaves on the ground
as they search for falling nuts.
Windy days
Takes me back
watching the leaves tumble down
Oh how sweet windy days can be.
Let us join in nature and Praise God, for all windy days.

Windy days, sunny days, cloudy days, rainy days, snow days and more...all a part of our experiences depending upon where we live and what time of year it is. It was cool and windy today here in Houston. More leaves falling off of the deciduous trees...
Aww-so very tender in its remembering and in its envisioning--I love winter and the colder blustery days. Nicely done!!
This is a very sweet and lovely poem! I absolutely love the wind, hearing it, being in it, etc. So this was very special to me. My kids can often hear me say, "oh I love that wind!" (When its windy out)
Thanks so much for sharing this. :)
excellent poem, Joy. Enjoyed this very much. Have you checked out my poem "Marionettes"? It deals with a very similar theme. Voted up and awesome!
Nice hub, beautiful poetry. During my childhood as far as I still remember I usually go out on windy days to fly kite. I am always thankful for windy days. Thank you for sharing this nice poetry. May you be blessed today and always. Best regards.
Refreshing. I love windy days.
